Bentley Pontoons for Sale

Bentley Pontoons builds value-priced pontoons and tritoons in Lexington, South Carolina, and since 2023 in Milford, Indiana as well. Most models run from 18 to 25 feet, and the company makes most of the parts itself, which helps keep prices down.

Who builds them

The brand was run by Encore Boat Builders until August 2017. That year Pontoon & Deck Boat Magazine reported the sale to Bentley Acquisition LLC, owned by Dennis Marcott and Mike Scott, with Ryan Marcott as president and the same staff and buildings kept on. In February 2023 InkFreeNews reported Bentley had opened a second plant in Milford, Indiana, in the old Bison Trailers building, with about 20 workers. Most boats still come from South Carolina.

Boating magazine says Bentley builds its own tubes and chassis in Lexington, and also does its own powder coating, furniture and mooring covers.

The Legacy series

The Legacy is Bentley's main line. Every model has an 8-foot-6 beam. The two-tube Legacy 200 has a 20-foot-8 deck, weighs 1,900 pounds, carries 14 people and takes up to 115 hp. The 240 stretches to 24 feet 8 inches for 16 people, with 150 hp. The XLP3 tritoon versions add 54-gallon tanks and higher limits, up to 300 hp on the 243. The SPORT3 versions keep the 32-gallon tank and top out at 200 to 250 hp.

Boating's look at the 223 Navigator

Boating reviewed the 2021 223 Bentley Navigator, a 23-foot-2 tritoon with 25-inch tubes. It's rated for 15 people and 2,550 pounds, weighs 2,680 pounds dry, carries 54 gallons and takes outboards up to 250 hp. Base price was $31,900. Boating noted the lighter three-quarter-tube option keeps the 15-person rating but drops to 200 hp and 32 gallons.

What they cost

Used 2022 Bentleys in fall 2026 ranged widely. An LE 180 Cruise with a Yamaha F60 at 200 hours was $17,500 at Harbor Marine in Port Charlotte, Florida. A Legacy 240 Cruise with a 140 hp Suzuki at 300 hours and a trailer was $34,499 in Ruskin, Florida. A Legacy 200 Navigator Quad Lounge with a 100 hp Honda was $34,995 at Boat World in East Bethel, Minnesota. A 220 Elite Admiral with a Mercury 150 at 145 hours and a trailer was $48,750 from a private seller in Morristown, Tennessee.

Buying checks for a Bentley

Count the tubes. The same model name can come as two tubes, a three-quarter third tube or a full tritoon. That changes the horsepower limit and the fuel tank, so check the capacity plate.

Match the motor to the hull. A 60 or 90 hp is fine for cruising, but towing skiers with a full load needs a tritoon rated near the top.

Check the deck and furniture. Older Bentleys used plywood decks. Push on the floor near the gate and helm for soft spots, and look at seat bases for mildew.

Ask about the warranty. Find out what Bentley's current warranty covers and whether it moves to a second owner before you count on it.
