The STS line

The STS series is Berkshire's upscale range. Current models include the 21CL STS (22'3" to 22'8", 150 to 300 hp, MSRP $49,895), the 21RFX (MSRP $55,130), and fish-and-cruise models from 24' to 24'5" rated for up to 500 hp, starting at $59,587. Berkshire's 2026 brochure lists the 25-inch tubes and the 2.0, 2.75, 3.0 and 3.0+ packages. A 25x25-3.0, for example, is 25'10" overall, about 2,690 lb, carries 14 people, and is rated for 300 hp.

Standard STS gear includes tilt steering, Wet Sounds audio with a transom remote, LED docking lights, automatic nav and anchor lights, and a waterproof wiring harness with Deutsch connectors.

Test results

Boating, 2019 23RFX Arch STS 3.0. 24'5" long, 8'6" beam, 1'2" hull draft, 2,450 lb dry, 13 people or 1,870 lb, 37 gallons of fuel. With a Mercury 250 four-stroke and a 16-pitch Enertia prop, it topped out just under 50 mph at a bit over 6,000 rpm. It got on plane in 2.8 seconds and reached 30 mph in 5.4. At 15 mph and 2,500 rpm it returned 4.3 mpg. Wide lifting strakes on all three tubes kept it flat in tight turns.

Pontoon & Deck Boat, 2021 23 SB2 Arch STS. With a Mercury 250 it hit 44.7 mph and reached 20 mph in 4.52 seconds. The as-tested price was $99,700. The 3.0 package adds a full center tube, an aluminum underskin, lifting strakes, SeaStar hydraulic steering and a 37-gallon tank. The deck sits on Berkshire's Z42 chassis, which uses no wood.

PDB, 2016 23 RFX STS 3.0. With an Evinrude E-TEC 200 it ran 42.5 mph and hit 20 mph in 4.05 seconds. It was 23'7", 2,600 lb, with 38 gallons of fuel.

Used prices

In 2026 Granite State Dock & Marine in Derry, New Hampshire listed a one-owner, freshwater-only 2025 23RFX STS 3.0 with a Mercury 300 and 26 hours for $79,995 on consignment. Island Watersports in Delaware listed a 2026 23RFX STS with a Mercury 250 and 219 hours at $72,767.

What to check on a used Berkshire

Which package is it? A 2.0 has two tubes. The 2.75, 3.0 and 3.0+ have a center tube and different horsepower ratings. Confirm the package from the capacity plate before you compare prices.

Deck. Boats built on the Z42 chassis have no wood. On older or non-STS boats, step around the deck feeling for soft plywood, especially near the gates and helm.

Tube condition. Look along the strakes and the underskin for dents, especially on boats kept on a lift or beached often.

Salt water use. Berkshire offers a Salt Water Edition. On any boat used in salt, check the tube welds, brackets and wiring harness for corrosion.

Electronics and lighting. Test every RGB light, the Wet Sounds system, the power bimini and the charging ports.

Recalls. Pontoons can be recalled for capacity labels and flotation, so run the Berkshire's HIN through the Coast Guard database and check the capacity plate matches the boat.
