Lund Boats for Sale

Lund builds aluminum fishing boats in New York Mills, Minnesota, and has since 1948. It is the walleye boat across much of the Upper Midwest and Canada, and used ones change hands fast.

Howard Lund's duck boat

Lund traces its start to 1948, when Howard Lund built his first aluminum boat for duck hunting. The company grew around New York Mills, Minnesota, and became one of the best-known names in deep-V aluminum fishing boats. In 2004 Brunswick bought Lund along with Crestliner and Lowe from Genmar for $191 million. Lund is still built in New York Mills, and new Lunds come with Mercury outboards.

The models you'll see

  • Pro-V: Lund's tournament walleye boat. The original came out in 1988 and the line was redesigned for 2023. Pro-V GL models have a full windshield; Pro-V Bass versions use a bass-style layout.
  • Tyee: introduced in 1979, a big-water fish-and-family boat with a full windshield and room for passengers.
  • Crossover XS: a hybrid for families who fish in the morning and ski or tube in the afternoon.
  • Alaskan, Rebel, Fury and SSV: simpler, cheaper Lunds, including tiller boats.
  • Impact and Renegade: mid-range fishing boats, the Renegade in a bass-style setup.

Lund model numbers start with length. A 1875 Pro-V is about 18'9"; a 2075 is just over 20 feet. A "GL" suffix means full windshield, "SS" side console, and "Tiller" is what it sounds like.

Current Pro-V pricing

Lund's Pro-V is its top tournament walleye line. Lund's US Pro-V page, checked in November 2026 with the 2027 model year shown, lists the starting prices:

  • 1875 Pro-V: 18'11", 200 hp max, 8 people, from $75,899
  • 1975 Pro-V: 19'10", 225 hp max, 8 people, from $85,965
  • 2075 Pro-V: 20'10", 300 hp max, 9 people, from $108,427
  • 2175 Pro-V: 21'10", 425 hp max, 9 people, from $122,382

Those are starting prices for a new boat. Use them to judge whether a used Pro-V is priced fairly.

What to check on a used Lund

Rivets. Most Lund fishing hulls are riveted. On a used boat, look along the rivet lines for streaks, white oxidation or sealant smeared on as a quick repair. Put it in the water and check the bilge.

Transom. Pro-Vs and Tyees often carry a big outboard and a kicker motor on the same transom. Look for cracks around both mounts and flex in the transom when you push on the engine.

Floors. Older Lunds used plywood under carpet. Walk the whole deck for soft spots.

Livewells and electronics. Run the livewell pumps, aerators, bilge and trolling motor. Walleye boats tend to carry a lot of electronics; look at the wiring and see how many holes have been drilled.

Kicker motor. Many Lunds come with a 9.9 or 15 hp kicker for trolling. It's worth money, so make sure it runs and the linkage to the main engine works.

Canvas. Full camper canvas and mooring covers on Pro-Vs and Tyees are expensive to replace. Check the zippers, snaps and clear panels.

Winter storage. Most Lunds come from places with real winters. Ask how the engine was winterized and look for freeze damage to livewell plumbing and pumps.
