Trifecta Pontoons for Sale
Trifecta is a performance pontoon brand from Forest River, introduced in 2016. Every used Trifecta is fairly new, and the range runs from 20-foot two-tube boats to twin and triple engine Sport models.
A young brand with big backing
Trifecta was introduced in 2016. It is built by Forest River, which is owned by Berkshire Hathaway. Since the brand is only about ten years old, you won't find old Trifectas with worn-out decks, but you will find a wide spread of floorplans and power packages in a short span of model years.
Reading a Trifecta model name
Trifecta names its boats by tube size, length and tube package. A 25x22-2.75 has 25-inch tubes, a deck around 22 feet, and the 2.75 tube package. 2.0 means two tubes, 3.0 means a full three-tube boat, and 3.0+ on the S Series is the top performance package. This matters on a used boat: the tube package sets the max horsepower.
Specs from the 2026 brochure
All current models have 25-inch tubes and an 8'6" deck width, so they trailer without a wide-load permit. A few examples from Trifecta's 2026 brochure:
- 25x20-2.0 LE: 20'10" overall, about 1,450 lb dry, 11 people, 90 hp max.
- 25x24-2.75 LE: 24'5" overall, about 2,155 lb dry, 13 people, 200 hp max.
- 25x24-3.0 C: 24'5" overall, about 2,215 lb dry, 14 people, 300 hp max.
- 25x23-3.0+ S: 24'5" overall, about 2,550 lb dry, 12 people, 500 hp max.
- 25x25-3.0+ S: 25'10" overall, about 2,810 lb dry, 13 people, 500 hp max.
The Sport Series is rated for twin engines up to 1,000 hp and triple engines up to 1,500 hp. The lineup also includes a Margaritaville Chill model.
Which series to look for
The LE and C are the value and mainstream cruisers. If you want to pull skiers or tubers, look for a 2.75 or 3.0 package rather than a 2.0. The S and Sport boats are for buyers who want real speed. A big-motor Trifecta can cost more in fuel and insurance than the base boat suggests, so price that in.
What to check on a used Trifecta
Match the name to the plate. Because the model name tells you the tube package, check it against the capacity plate at the helm. A 2.0 boat carrying an engine bigger than its 90 to 150 hp rating, or a 2.75 boat with a 300, is overpowered, and insurers and the Coast Guard go by the plate.
Big-motor S boats. On a 3.0+ S boat rated for 500 hp, the engine is worth more than much of the boat. Get compression numbers and service records, look at the transom bracket and center tube where the engine hangs, and check that the lifting strakes are not bent from beaching.
Fit and finish. Trifectas are newer boats, so the issues are usually small: vinyl seams, loose rail fittings and helm switches. Run every switch and look under the seats.
Recalls. I found no Coast Guard recall for Trifecta in the USCG list. Run the HIN through the USCG recall search to be sure, and ask the dealer if Forest River issued any service bulletins.
